Something Worth Writing down

March 18, 2010 :: Posted by - author-1 :: Category - Blu-ray Tools

I have been working Ristom nearly two months which is not long at all to the ones who have devoted all their life to one company. Although it is a short time, I have learned it is a place where you can be refreshed and enlivened. The young colleges, the harmonious interrelationships and the relaxing working environment all contribute to a cooperative and efficient working team.

Here, I can get many chances to communicate with others, both our compatriots and foreign friends and both of them teach me a lot. Several days ago, I communicated with an American customer, David, who wants to buy our product but was somewhat confused with some buying details. And we talked with each other by phone for about one hour! Don’t ever think that we are so inefficient in communicating and doing business because we spent the most time talking, just talking, nothing to do with business after the real business was settled. Having become friends, we contact with each other quite often and he takes me as an adviser on consumer software, so I feel the responsibility to tell him something and recommend some related software products according to his different requirements.

And yesterday, David told me that he would come to my city and maybe we can have a travel around. Sure, it is a good plan. Hope I will not be too busy to do this.

General Information about BDA

March 17, 2010 :: Posted by - author-1 :: Category - Blu-ray Tools, knowledge

BDA, known as Blu-ray disc association, was founded in 2005. But before this final establishment, this organization has experienced a lot.

In February 2002, many companies announced to introduce Blu-ray disc format as the next generation in terms of optical storage. The bulky storage capacity contained in this newly born format is quite surprising up to 50GB and it is a perfect choice for HD video recording and distribution and a far larger space for data storage. This new format owns all the necessary forms of traditional CDs and DVDs apart from the backwards capability and little storage capacity.

In 2005, the Blu-ray founders announced the formal establishment of Blu-ray Disc Association, namely, BDA. BDA is a voluntary group open to any corporation or organization that is interested in improving or facilitating the newly developed Blu-ray format. Devoted to researching, developing and making Blu-ray products, corporations or organizations can be also admitted as a member in this association.

The aim of the BDA is to:
- Develop Blu-ray Disc specifications
- Ensure Blu-ray Disc products are implemented by licensees according to the intent of the specifications
- Promote wide adoption of Blu-ray Disc formats
- Provide useful information to those who are interested in supporting Blu-ray Disc formats

The Benefits of Blu-ray

March 17, 2010 :: Posted by - author-1 :: Category - Blu-ray Tools, knowledge

Nowadays, I guess most people are familiar or at least heard of Blu-ray, the newly developed video format. And many world-leading electronics companies and manufacturers have announced to adopt Blu-ray as a kind of film output. So what benefits on the earth does Blu-ray has?

Compared with traditional DVDs, Blu-ray is superior in the following aspects:

Lager capacity

High-definition video

Enhanced interactivity

Enhanced copy protection

And among all of these advantages, the most obvious and important one is the larger capacity. With a super 25 GB or even 50GB capacity to use, movie and game studios        are allowed to put more content (movies or games) into one disc to last a longer time. Since many bulky movies require two or even three DVDs to contain all the content, Blu-ray will make it easier and cheaper for customers with just one Blu-ray disc.

Besides, as HD has become the mainstream of today’s world, it is quite necessary for media players to support HD movies. And a Blu-ray player will do it for you. Blu-ray offers space for 2hrs/4hrs respectively of HD video with space for interactive features still available.

Maybe you are not familiar and caring about the copy protection feature of Blu-ray, but it is really useful. With the advanced protection methods, Blu-ray will deny users who try doing “bad” things such as illegal copying. Once getting a Blu-ray disc, you are free of such kinds of troubles and worries.

All mentioned above are just one small part of the benefits of Blu-ray technology. And if you want to know more about it, just try to get a Blu-ray player and Blu-ray disc to experience the marvelous features by yourself!

Blu-ray Ripper—-More Cost-effective than Blu-ray

March 15, 2010 :: Posted by - author-1 :: Category - Blu-ray Tools

Blu-ray, as technology develops, has been greatly popularized in recent years. Many world-leading electronics companies, for instance, Toshiba, Panasonic, Samsung, LG and Sony have successfully developed Blu-ray players and Blu-ray discs. Both the video and audio quality is, beyond any doubt, unexampled by the traditional DVD players and DVDs. Large sums of money and manpower having been devoted, the prices of Blu-ray players and DVDs are so high that they are still caviar to the general. As the rank and file, it is unlikely for us to spend half of our salaries just for that luxurious enjoyment. But don’t be so depressed, we can rip Blu-ray discs with a Blu-ray ripper which can provide almost identical video and audio effects as the original ones.

Since it is very costly to buy Blu-ray discs, many software companies have developed related Blu-ray rippers, thus making it more convenient for us common people to enjoy the original Blu-ray movies. And among those rippers, iToolsoft Blu-ray Ripper is a very powerful one that can rip and convert Blu-ray discs into nearly all popular video formats including AVI, MPG, MPEG, MPE, MP4, 3GP, OGG, MOV, AMR and so on. The multiple target formats give users more freedom to decide where and which one to save.

If you like the perfect quality and effects of Blu-ray discs but your wallet fails to allow you to buy Blu-ray ones, Blu-ray ripper is an expedient alternative.

As the consumer electronics industry grows faster and faster, many people prefer to choose high-definition (known as HD) movies. And consumers would have higher demand on playback equipment and recording equipment, that is to say, both of them should benefit users the most with HD TV sets.

Actually, Blu-ray can meet these strict requirements. It is the best delivery choice for media and meanwhile, stands for the peak, at least in today’s world, of recording capacity technology for HD TV users. To tell the truth, Blu-ray disc, thanks to its formidable storage capacity, lets users to record plentiful HD videos and broadcasts with marvelous quality.

Consequently, soaring popularity of Blu-ray technology is likely to increase the wide spread of HD TVs. Since there are more and more files that are only available for Blu-ray discs, consumers will turn to accept HD TVs unprecedentedly.

And we are happy to learn that Blu-ray technology has been adopted by many world-leading electronics companies such as Hitachi, LG Electronics, Matsushita (Panasonic), Mitsubishi, Pioneer, Philips, Samsung, Sharp and Sony. This inevitable trend in consumer electronics will bring much more attention to Blu-ray field.
